The 40th FPSO Forum is to be held in the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria, UK

The conference hotel, Macdonald Old England Hotel and Spa, is in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere right on the edge of Windermere the largest natural lake in England. The hotel has beautiful views across the lake and to the surrounding hills. Bowness-on-Windermere is surrounded by mountain peaks and villages, it is a spectacular part of the country and a popular holiday resort for boating activities on the lake and walking the hills in the area.

Parking is limited at the hotel and valet parking is available, pre-booking is advisable. There is a public car park very close by. 


Travel information

By Car

Located just off the A591 the hotel is under 30mins from junction 36 on the M6.

By Rail

1.7 miles from Windermere Rail Station. Trains travel from central London (Euston) with usually just one change. Windermere rail station is also served by trains from Manchester airport Oxenholme station (most train changes are here) is about a 30 minute taxi ride.

By Air

Just under 90 miles from Manchester airport the hotel can be reached by car in about 1.5 hours or by rail in under 2 hours with one change.From Glasgow airport it is around 2.5-3 hours by car (155 miles).
